Welcome to the Golden Bay Self-Reliance web site. Ever since the inaugural Community Forum we have been busy working on this web site to help Golden Bay become more self-reliant. You can help. The Community Forum was a great kick-off event and brought together a wide cross section of people from Golden Bay. We would like to continue with that widespread support, so browse the web site and get engaged.

It started with the Community Open Forum
On 1-2 September 2007 Golden Bay had a community forum with over 300 people attending over the two days. The focus groups listed here, the self-reliance work that is taking place in the bay, and this web site are the result of that forum. As you can see below there are lots of groups working on many different sustainability issues here in Golden Bay. Why not join a group? Get involved.
